The Diversity & Inclusion Strategy incorporates five core attributes: Partner Engagement,
Supplier Diversity, Corporate Citizenship, Governance and Multicultural Marketing. Each attribute
has at least two key initiatives that influence the success of our overall diversity program.
Partner Engagement: Recruitment, Retention,
Leadership Development
- INROADS Scholars
- National Black MBA & National Society of Hispanic MBA’s
- Mentoring Program that links and engages high potential managers with management
- Trainees, Cintas Scholars
- Diversity training program, which is required for all managers and available to other partners
- Experienced an increasing trend in hiring females and minorities over the past several years
- Other partners in mentoring roles, with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining the best talent
Supplier Diversity: Supplier Friendly, Economic Inclusion, Innovation & Value
- Mentoring Women and Minority Business Enterprises
- In 2007, Cintas spent about 10% with minority and women-owned external vendors and suppliers
- Over the past three years, we have spent over $100 million with minority and
women-owned vendors and suppliers
Corporate Citizenship: Philanthropy, Volunteerism, Social Responsibility
- Involved in over 400 charitable causes and community events across North America
- Since 1998, Cintas has donated clothing, sewing machines, fabric, linens, soap, medicine,
personal care items and school supplies to Matthew 25: Ministries. To date, the company has
donated over 8 million pounds of products, representing almost $120,000,000 in humanitarian aid
