Stuck in a line of traffic in Simi Valley, California, SSR Chris Carney emerged from his truck to investigate the commotion in the street ahead. Not far away was a man lying on the pavement, bleeding badly from a bullet wound to the stomach. Realizing emergency medical help would be delayed by the stalled traffic, Chris knew he needed to act. As they waited for the EMTs to arrive, Chris learned the man had been the victim of a shooting in a domestic dispute at a nearby dental office. Chris’ decisiveness and training very likely saved the man’s life.

life-threatening condition was quickly averted by Adam’s cool resolve.

something she wanted to do for a long time.
