Michael Guerrero and Miguel Alvarez: Cintas Hero Nominee
Miami, FL — Michael Guerrero and Miguel Alvarez (G81 SSRs) witnessed an automobile, about one block ahead of them, hydroplane and then veer off the road. They were in their individual trucks, off of Krome Avenue in Miami, on route back to Location #017. Michael and Miguel immediately pulled over to assist whoever was in the vehicle that had just plunged into the canal.
The passenger was trapped inside his car and while Miguel called 911, Michael jumped into the dark waters of the canal and proceeded to free the passenger and brought him to safety! Both SSRs performed first aid on the passenger and stayed with him until the paramedics arrived, at which time both SSRs got back in their trucks and returned to the location.
